It's Official; Homebuyer Tax Credit Extended and Expanded

The First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit has been extended! First time buyers and those who have not owned a home for the past 3 eyars have until April 30, 2010 negotiate a contract and until June 30, 2010 to get it closed in order to receive the $8,000 tax credit. The bill also allows a $6,500 tax credit current homeowners who buy a new home as well.

Hopefully this extended and expanded home buyer credit will stimulate sales in mid-price homes and will open up more inventory in the first-time buyer price range as well. Of course there are specific income limits and conditions that must be met to qualify.
